(Merged post from another blog. Originally posted 5/15/14).
Sheew, I haven't been posting. Boo to me on that. BUT…I have been shooting, so that's good, right? When I get some time (Ha!) I will post some images from all the shoots I've done lately which include 3 maternity sessions (already posted one of those) and 3 newborn sessions, plus some family pictures too!
Today I'm posting some outtakes, if you will, from my 9 month "session" with Brynlee. It's such a challenge to get a good picture anymore. And I remember it was hard starting around this age with Brody too because 9 month olds (and older!) just want to MOVE. But, Brynlee actually stays put for the most part still, which is nice. However now I have a little 3 1/2 year old wanna be photographer by my side. And that's all Brynlee wants to pay attention to so….my job is hard!
Anyway, this time I decided since I had some of my photography stuff out from a friends newborn shoot I had done that I would set it up real quick and try to get a good pic of my kiddos together. Well, it was awful and they wouldn't cooperate, so…boo to them!
Fun Fact… About 6 weeks ago I won a contest! One of the (many) photography pages I follow on Facebook had a little "caption this"contest for one of her iPhone snaps she posted while at a photography conference in Vegas. I made a comment along with about 3 or 4 hundred other people and, you guys….SHE PICKED MINE as the best caption. Anyway, I kept checking back for her to announce the winner for a few days and she never did so I was like, oh well. But then last week I randomly looked in my "other" folder in my FB messages inbox (did you even know there was one?) and I found her message congratulating me. Cool huh?! I NEVER WIN ANYTHING. So I was stoked. :) She is a photographer but she also sells Lightroom Presets (for a pretty penny, I might add) and I got a set for free! Anyway, I used her presets on these all these photos.
I'm impartial on my opinion of them, honestly. I kinda like them…but I don't love them. They feel like they are a tad too cool for my normal taste. But again, I don't hate it. Just not sure it's my style (not that I even know what that is really). I think, as it is with all presets, they won't always work on every picture. So I really like them on some, but not so much on others. Anyway, it was still fun to win something and get to play around a bit with a different style of editing. Oh, and another fun fact. I won these from the same photographer that I bought my new (or should I say used?) camera from back in December. Cool, huh!? :)
Ok, off to bed. Ta ta for now!
